Welcome to the Catapult Effect podcast. I am your host Katie Wrigley. So I wanted to do a an episode focused on the changes that I've been making with this podcast so that you get a glimpse into what I'm doing and why so that you know if this is the podcast for you or not. So you may know if you've been following this podcast for a while that it used to be called the Pain Changer. I'm changing the name because as I'm understanding more about neuroscience and the way the brain works
It is so much more important that we focus on what is possible and where we can go versus the problem state. We're very aware of the problem state, but continuing to say pain, that's going to bring us back into the pain versus catapult effect that's moving us forward to where we desire to be. Now this is for two specific audiences and I'm going to do my best to be able to acknowledge and continue to do episodes for both.
So season one of the pain changer was really some of my first stuff. There is a lot of amazing material in there around chronic pain. Lots of incredible experts that came into the show in season one and it can help you move forward. There's a few people who do root cause analysis. I encourage you to check out those episodes. Season two is focused on law enforcement and other first responders and I'm going to continue to maintain that focus because I am equally devoted to both audiences that I have been serving the past few years since I've been doing this full -time and I want to continue to serve both despite every business book telling you that you want to focus on one audience at a time I find that my heart is not willing to give up either because The people who are in the place where I used to be I know how painful that is And so I don't want to let go of helping people who are in a similar state to where I used to
And at the same time, I also don't want to let go of helping first responders because they're putting their lives on the line all the time for us. And especially police officers. There's so much anti -police sentiment out there. And when you don't understand everything that they're going through, it's really easy to get sucked into that. Once you have a view into their lives and you start to understand a little bit about what they're dealing with, it never makes those cringe -worthy headlines okay. And no cop I've worked with would actually tell you that they were okay.
But what it does is it helps you see how these things happen and what we can do to change them. And so I want to continue to support the first responder community that I'm so passionate about serving. Season two is going to be episodes that are continued to be dedicated to you. And I thank you all so much for your service. Season three is for the former me, the professional who has had some sort of catalyzing event and you are at a point where you are just done suffering and struggling.
Maybe you're in tears every day. Maybe you have high physical pain. I certainly had both. Whatever that state is, you are ready for change and you want to be able to get rid of these challenges and propel yourself forward to the life that you truly desire. So that is what season three is going to be focused on. So it is going to have a mix of episodes where I'm going to bring in experts in their fields and they are all experts capable of helping you catapult forward exactly to where you want to go.
and they have lots of different science and lots of different techniques behind them. So please enjoy the variety of guests that are going to be bringing on. I'm also going to be having some solo episodes in here as well. And since this is a podcast for busy professionals, both first responders and for the business person, similar to myself, I'm going to do my best to keep episodes short. I tend to be a bit verbose if you haven't noticed and some of my guests are as well.
But wherever possible, I'm going to try to keep these much more condensed so that you can get the information you need and go back to your busy day and not feel like you don't have the time to listen to this incredibly helpful podcast. Thank you so much for listening to this episode or watching it wherever you may be on YouTube or on one of the players for podcasts. And I would actually love to know what information do you want me to bring to your attention on this show?
Where do you need help and support in your life that I can bring a guest on to help you move forward in that area? I would love to know if you would be willing to reach out to me.
